Get ready to learn all about the local geology wonders in the area we call home. Expect to cover about 4 miles uphill to get to the amazing traversing viewpoint. The group will decide whether to continue down the Tin can side or head back from here.

We will ride the 4 miles of dirt road up to Twin Lakes Trail Head and ride to 4 Mile Basin. This is an out and back with the option to turn around at any point\, however the ride leaders will make it to the lake making this a 16 mile ride with a bit over 2000 ft of climbing. Roughly 3 hour ride that is uphill for the first 8 miles\, and down for the last 8 miles. Dress accordingly\, and bring a jacket and warm gloves. DESCRIPTION:When: Weds\, Aug 19th at 6pm \nWhere: Meet at 6pm in front of Anaconda Bicycles.  \nDetails: *Disclaimer: this is an advanced gravel ride with steep\, loose terrain* We will ride from the shop to Old Twin Lakes Rd through old logging roads and out through Yankee Flats and back. The first half of the route is fairly mellow on pavement and dirt roads 10 miles. The 6 mile loop around Yankee Flats is THE adventure and is a fun mix of climbing and flying down rocky roads.
